What is this contest?
Advertising Age/Creativity and Tremor Video are inviting creative agencies and brand marketers to put their creativity chops to the test. We want you to think (and see) beyond the standard pre-roll ad by entering the Super Creative Video Ad Challenge. Ad Age readers/visitors and a panel of experts will determine who best combines the magic of sight, sound, and motion with the opportunity for "touch" to drive engagement and brand love.
Who can enter?
The contest is open to any brand or advertising agency who would like their/their client's brands to experience the power of interactive pre-rolls like the Tremor Video Super Pre-Roll. We encourage those from outside the U.S. to participate. Any representative of the brand/advertiser, and/or their agency of record can submit. (See complete rules for details).
How do I win?
Qualified submissions will be judged by site visitors for the "People's Choice" award and a panel of experts from Ad Age/Creativity and Tremor Video will determine the "Judge's Choice" winner. The panel of experts will be evaluating entries on a combination of creativity and actual ad performance during a (complimentary) flight on the Tremor Video ad network. (Yes, that's free media!) Winners will be notified by November 15, 2012.
When and where can I enter?
Contest commences July 9. Complete submissions will be accepted until 12:00 p.m. EST September 1, 2012.
How do I enter?
Complete the registration form with all contact information, brand and agency associated with the ad, and a URL to view the video (YouTube, Vimeo or some other video platform-hosted). All submissions will be reviewed and all entrants will be notified whether (or not) their video submission qualifies for the contest within 5 business days.

This contest is sponsored by Crain Communications Inc (on behalf of its publication, Advertising Age) 711 Third Ave. New York, NY 10017 (the "Co-Sponsor") and Tremor Video 53 W 23rd St New York, NY 10010 (the "Co-Sponsor")
Eligibility: This contest is open to readers of Advertising Age who are at least 21 years old by July 9, 2012. Employees of the Co-Sponsors, their affiliates and members of their immediate families are not eligible.
How to Enter: You are free to submit as many entries as you like. There is no cost for entry.
• All eligible entrants must complete and submit the entry form and upload a viewable video file URL.
• All qualified entrants will have a unique URL for their submissions that will be judged by site visitors in real-time and, at the end, by a select panel of judges.
• All submissions for entry will be reviewed by Tremor Video creative technologists to determine if the entrant has a robust enough web presence to provide sufficient assets to create the Super Pre-Roll.
• All entries must be received on or before 12:00 p.m. EST on September 1, 2012. The winners will be determined from the eligible entries on or about November 9, 2012. Winner will be notified no later than November 15, 2012.
Certification/Acknowledgement/Consent:
EACH ENTRANT CERTIFIES THAT THE MATERIALS SUBMITTED IN CONNECTION WITH THIS CONTEST (INCLUDING ARTWORK, IMAGERY and IDEAS) ARE THE ORIGINAL WORKS OF THE ENTRANT. ENTRANT FURTHER CERTIFIES THAT S/HE HAS ALL THE RIGHTS AND PERMISSIONS (INCLUDING FROM THE BRAND, MUSIC RIGHTS, TALENT RIGHTS, ETC) NECESSARY TO SUBMIT THE MATERIALS IN THIS CONTEST AND PROVIDE THE RIGHTS IN THE FOLLOWING SENTENCE TO CO-SPONSORS. EACH ENTRANT ACKNOWLEDGES AND IRREVOCABLY CONSENTS THAT ANY AND ALL MATERIALS SUCH ENTRANT SUBMITS IN CONNECTION WITH THIS CONTEST (INCLUDING ARTWORK, IMAGERY AND IDEAS) MAY BE REPRODUCED, DISPLAYED, PUBLISHED (INCLUDING IN PRINT AND DIGITAL FORMATS), ARCHIVED (IN PRINT AND DIGITAL DATABASES) AND OTHERWISE FREELY USED WITHOUT LIMITATION OR RESTRICTION BY THE CO-SPONSORS AND PARTNERS AND AFFILIATES OF EACH.
EACH ENTRANT ACKNOWLEDGES AND IRREVOCABLY CONSENTS TO THE USE OF HIS/HER NAME, IMAGE AND OTHER PERSONAL INFORMATION IN PUBLICATIONS, INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL WEBSITES, ADVERTISING AND IN MEDIA COVERAGE OF THE CONTEST, UNLESS PROHIBITED BY LAW.
The eligible entries will appear on the Advertising Age/Creativity website throughout the duration of the competition. After the contest closes, Tremor Video may host such materials on its marketing website as a demo in the Ad Lab or in a showcase.
Prizes:
There will be two grand prize winners – one People's Choice Winner, and one Judge's Choice winner.
The People's Choice winner will receive:
• Choice of a $1,000 bar/restaurant tab for the creative team OR $1,000 shopping spree to super up the office
• $1,000 donation to the charity of winner's choice
• Trophy
The Judge's Choice winner will receive:
• Choice of: five (5) iPad 3s for creative team OR $2,000 bar/restaurant tab for the creative team
• $1,000 donation to the charity of winner's choice
• Trophy
No substitution or transfer of prize is permitted. The odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible responses received.
General Conditions:
• All contest entrants agree to release Co-Sponsors and their respective partners and affiliates from any and all claims and liability with respect to and in any way arising from participating in this contest, accepting of any prize(s), or technical, hardware, software or other failures of any kind, cost or unavailable network connections, incomplete, garbled or delayed transmissions, injury or damage to an entrant's or third person's computer, whether caused by Sponsor, entrants, users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions which may damage a user's system or limit a potential entrant's ability to participate in this contest.
• Crain Communications Inc. reserves the right to modify or cancel this contest for any reason in its sole discretion.
• The potential winners will be required to complete and return to Co-Sponsors an Affidavit of Eligibility and Waiver of Liability/Publicity Release within seven days of Co-Sponsor's provision of these documents. Potential winners will also be required to send a copy of his/her passport, driver's license, or other current, government-issued photo identification (acceptable to Co-Sponsor) as proof of age and residency. Failure to return the Affidavit or Waiver, or failure to provide the requested identification within the prescribed time period will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected. Return of prize notification and/or the Affidavit/Release as undeliverable will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected. If a potential winner cannot accept the prize on the itinerary indicated, the prize is forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected. Co-Sponsors have no obligation for compensation or reimbursement of any kind if a winner is unable to accept any or all of a prize for any reason.
• All entrants agree to comply fully with each provision in these Official Rules. Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with this contest and any person who does not comply with these Official Rules, as determined in the sole discretion of Co-Sponsors, will be ineligible for any prize(s) and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
• Taxes are the sole responsibility of winner.
• Contest void where prohibited or restricted by law.
